Rob Dudley - 17th Feb 2012

17th Feb 2012
Untitled At the Art Society meeting held on 17 February 2012 members were given both a demonstration of landscape watercolour painting and were entertained with tales, hints and tips from local artist Rob Dudley. Rob advised sketching every day to develop skills in structure and seeing how objects inter-relate and not to slavishly record minute details of a view, but aim to try and capture the essence of it.

Rob studied animation at Exeter College but always maintained a love of watercolour which he says offers him the opportunity to respond almost immediately to the surroundings and to reflect his own enjoyment of the British landscape. Rob explained that when he is not painting he is directing his creative talents in other directions and continues to work with Richard Golesowski on the popular children's series 'Shaun the Sheep'.
