Background
A retail and leisure study has been completed for Teignbridge by consultants Roger Tym and Partners.
This study includes recommendations for new floorspace provision requirements for retailing for the period to 2031, and town centre area, shopping area and primary / secondary frontage boundaries. It also reports on a hierarchy of shopping centres, the vitality and viability of the main town centre shopping areas, and the need for new commercial leisure provision.
Relationship with previous retail studies for Teignbridge
The Teignbridge Retail and Leisure Study 2010 replaces the Teignbridge Retail Study Update 2005-2016.
Status
The Teignbridge Retail and Leisure Study 2010 is not a statement of policy by the Local Planning Authority. It is a technical evidence document that will be used together with other evidence to inform the preparation of the Teignbridge Local Development Framework (LDF) and may be material for development management purposes.
Availability
The Teignbridge Retail and Leisure Study 2010 will be made available for reference purposes in the Council's main reception at Forde House, Newton Abbot and also for sale in printed format. Further details will be provided.
