The Making it Happen Fund is a small grants fund set up by the Teignbridge Strategic Partnership (TSP). The fund is designed to help local community and voluntary groups provide a wide range of community projects and activities.

The fund offers 2 types of grant:

1. Grants of up to £500 for projects whose total cost is up to £5,000; and

2. Grants of up to £1000 for projects whose total cost is £5,000-£10,000.

Councillor Alan Connett, Chair of the Teignbridge Strategic Partnership explained: 'The TSP wanted to create an easily accessible fund to stimulate projects and activity in local communities across the Teignbridge District. Making it happen grant fund definitely does this, and we look forward to receiving your bids'.

The fund is only available to voluntary and community organisations providing a service in the Teignbridge District area, and proposals must fall under at least one of the following priority areas:

1. Improving access to services;

2. Healthy living and leisure opportunities;

3. Safer and stronger communities; and/or

4. Looking after the environment.

The application period for the 2010 funding round will be open from April 30th 2010 until May 31st 2010, with decisions about awards being made during June.
