Disabled Parking and blue badges

Guidance on blue badge use and Disabled Parking permits

On street

Blue badge holders must use their badge in accordance with current legislation. Guidance of use is issued when first receiving a Blue Badge. For further information on blue badge use please Blue badges - Devon County Council.

Off Street

There are wide bays provided in all car parks throughout the district for drivers with mobility problems. Where charges are in place in a car park, our current policy is that all blue badge holders must pay the required tariff set as per the details within the car park.

Residents of the District can purchase a £10.00 discounted rate parking permit if they are blue badge holders and meet one of a set of criteria. This allows the user to park in most car parks within the district without further payment. For further information and details of the criteria please see the information pack link displayed to the right of this page.

Please see Pay for disabled parking permits to pay for a permit.
