Street Sweeping

To keep Teignbridge looking at its best, a regular street sweeping and litter bin service is carried out.

General Information

The Council has a duty to keep its own land and public highways clear of litter and refuse, as far as practicable.  Streets are cleaned on a rota basis

The Council also empties litter bins, dog waste bins and collects fly-tipped (dumped) waste, removes dead animals from the highway and clears graffiti from public land and buildings.  To report problems with litter bins, fly-tipping, dead animals or graffiti please phone the Environmental Hotline on 0800 328 6402.

Parish Sweepers

Many of towns and villages now have a Parish Sweeper whose duties include manual sweeping and emptying litter bins.

Blitz Team

The Blitz Team are on hand to remove fly tipping, litter and graffiti to ensure that Teignbridge is kept clean, please phone the Environmental Hotline on 0800 328 6402 to report an incident to the Blitz Team.
