A review of employment land for 'B' space business uses in Teignbridge has been completed
Background
An employment land review study has been completed for Teignbridge by consultants Roger Tym and Partners.
This local employment land study has tested the top down strategic requirement for 35 hectares of employment land and 6,500 jobs for the Newton Abbot travel to work area for the period 2006 to 2026, that is included in the Secretary of State's Proposed Changes to the draft Regional Spatial Strategy for the South West (July 2008) through Policy HMA 4. It has also examined how a better balance of jobs to working residents could be supported through planning for employment space.
Relationship with previous employment land reviews for Teignbridge
The Teignbridge Employment Land Review 2010 replaces the Teignbridge Employment Land Review 2006 by consultants Nathaniel Lichfield and Partners.
Status
The Teignbridge Employment Land Review 2010 is not a statement of policy by the Local Planning Authority. It is a technical evidence document that will be used together with other evidence to inform the preparation of the Teignbridge Local Development Framework (LDF) and may be material for development management purposes.
