Hennock Country Fayre
Thanks to everyone who helped to make the 2010 fayre such a success; our visitors all had a great day. The 2011 fayre will be held on Sunday 14th August, and will include a Vintage Vehicle Rally, a large Gymkhana and a Dog Show, as well as displays of Rural Skills, Exhibitions, Crafts and stalls selling local food.
The Country Fayre is the main fund-raising event of the year for the Village Hall and attracts many visitors. The exhibitors gate opens at 8 am; the horse show starts at 9.30 and the fayre opens to the public at 10.30. As well as other entertaining events in the main ring, the fayre this year included
- Vintage Cars & Cycles
- Stationary engines & Tractors
- Horse show - jumping, showing & gymkhana
- Carriage Driving classes
- Family Dog Show
- Rural skills area - pole lathe, brick making, rope making, thatching etc
- Falconry Display
- Craft stalls, amusements and rides
- Trade stands, Car Booters
- Local produce & plant stalls
- Licensed Bar
- Cream Teas, refreshments, all-day BBQ
Where else can you have a day out for just £2 per adult? Children come in free, and car parking is free.
