Shaldon Beach
A brief description about this beach and the facilities available
Shaldon Beach is not only charming and idyllic it is a hive of beach activity. Sailing, fishing, swimming, canoeing, rowing and people just messing about on the river. Why not join in.
From here gaze in awe as the large containers ships enter the narrow estuary mouth or watch the local rowers compete against each other in friendly rivalry. Take a trip to Teignmouth on the oldest passenger ferry in England. Experience how the local people use to travel across the estuary 100 years ago.
A mix of shingle and sand the beach gently slopes towards the mouth of the estuary.
