Councillors
Teignbridge is divided into 25 different areas which are known as Wards. The Council has 46 Councillors who are elected every four years and they represent these Wards. Some Councillors have political affiliations but will represent you regardless of their political beliefs or yours.

Chairman of the Council
The Chairman of the Council is Councillor Stephen Purser, Independent Member and Ward Member for Teign Valley -
Leader of the Council
The Leader of the Council is Councillor Alan Connett, Liberal Democrat Member and Ward Member for the Parish of Kenton with Starcross, which includes Mamhead and Ashcombe. -
Members' Allowances
Payments made to individual Councillors during the Financial Year. -
Member Champions
A Member Champion is an elected Member who is appointed by the Council and who provides a focus on specific area of the Council's business or one of the many communities which exist within Teignbridge -
