The Den, Teignmouth
Teignmouth's premier formal park.
The Den is one of the most popular open space destinations in the Teignbridge District. It offers a variety of attractions including the large, award winning children's play area, a multi use games area, the new adventure golf course facility, a food kiosk, football pitches and an array of beautiful floral displays.
The Den has achieved a Green Flag Award, which means that it is a safe and welcoming site and meets a set of criteria for which high standards must be reached and maintained.
Maps of Teignmouth from 1889 show the Den laid out as a park with three main lawns, a perimeter path and a fountain. The ornamental beds on the promenade were laid out in the late 19th and early 20th century.
