We may pass the information to other agencies or organisations such as the Department for Work and Pensions and the HM Revenue & Customs, as allowed by the law.

We may cross check information you have provided or that others have provided about you with other information we hold.

We may also get information about you from certain third parties (including government departments, local authorities and banks and organisations that may lend you money) or give information to them to:

• make sure our information is accurate
• prevent or detect crime, and
• protect public funds.

We will not give information about you to anyone else, or use information about you for other purposes, unless the law allows this.

We also use information received from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), in relation to changes to DWP benefits in payment or just awarded, which can automatically amend claimants entitlement.
