A property wholly or mainly used for the purpose of a heat network, such as a district heating scheme, which supplies thermal energy from a central source to consumers via a network of pipes for the purposes of space heating, space cooling or domestic hot water, can receive rate relief provided the heat is generated from a low carbon source.
