11. Retail Hospitality and Leisure Relief Scheme

As announced in the Budget on 27 October 2021 eligible premises will receive 50% relief for the period 1 April 2022 until 31 March 2023.

A cash cap limit of £110,000 applies and businesses must also comply with the small amounts of financial assistance subsidy limit (approximately equivalent to £343,000) for subsidy received within the last 3 years, including this relief.

Opt Out

If you wish to opt out of the Retail Discount scheme you can do so by using our contact us form. Please note that once submitted you cannot change your decision. If you have multiple properties that you wish to opt out of the relief for, you must quote all of them in your submission.

The person completing the form to opt out must be authorised to act on behalf of the business concerned.

When you submit your form you will receive an email copy of the form for your records. When we receive your request we will update your account and send out a revised business rates bill.
