Teignmouth Produce Market

Teignmouth Farmers’ Market is held at The Triangle, town centre, on the last Saturday of the month between 10am and 2pm, all year round.

True to its title, farmers and producers bring their own fresh grown, baked, raised, caught, brewed, smoked or processed produce for your delight. Most of the stallholders come from within thirty miles of Teignmouth, although many are much closer than that. For example Milltop Orchard brings its freshly pressed juices from their orchard in Stokeinteignhead, Shute Fruit and Produce of Bishopsteignton picks fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables that morning, whilst Springfield Nursery brings plants and heritage varieties of apples, plums and damsons from their holding at Teigngrace.

But the farmers want to support the local community too. For this reason they make one stall available, on a rotational basis, to selected community groups to communicate their purpose, drum up support for their cause, and maybe make a few bob at the same time. To learn how your community group could benefit, contact the organiser of the market, Lori Reich for more information.

Supporting the local food and farming community couldn't be easier, or more fun, than shopping at your local market. Whilst browsing through the stalls, market-goers can also look forward to live musical entertainment during the course of the day in order to provide a little extra splash of colour to the proceedings.

Bring your basket, fill it with local goodies, and feed your soul as you fill your plate.

If you are a local farmer and would like a stall contact Lori Reich at Shute Fruit on 01626 777570.
