1. Cemetery information

The Cemetery Office is available Monday to Friday from 9.30am until 2.30pm for telephone and email enquiries only. At the present time we are unable to deal with visits in person to the office but will endeavour to handle all queries sympathetically and speedily.

Purchased graves and cremation plots

The Exclusive Right of Burial in a grave or cremation plot can be purchased for a term of 50 years. This entitles the holder(s) of the Right of Burial or a person of their choice to be buried within the plot and also the right to erect a memorial.  It is also possible to purchase the Right of Burial in a grave or cremation plot in advance for a period of 20 years.  It is important to note that it is the right to bury in a grave or cremation plot that is purchased and not the land itself, which remains in the ownership of the Council.

Cemetery fees

These fees are applicable in respect of deceased persons, who were, immediately prior to their death, resident within the District of Teignbridge.
