Your personal data

MyAccount is an online service that gives you quick, convenient and reliable access to council services. Please register so you can:

  • access council services 24/7
  • create and view your requests
  • follow the progress of your requests

Some of our services need to collect personal data so we can get in touch or provide the service. For example, we cannot collect your rubbish bins if we do not know your address.

Personal data such as your name and address will be used to automatically fill in your details on the forms.

Your email address may be used to contact you and to send password reminders if you have forgotten your password.

Your address and phone number may be used to contact you. We also use your address to give you information about your house such as bin collection dates.

Any personal information you give us online via e-forms, the app or through other means is held securely and will be used only for council purposes.

Please keep your username and password secure and do not share with anyone else.

Using your information this way helps us deliver more efficient services that can be tailored to your needs and preferences; inform you of other relevant services and benefits; and ask your opinion about our services.

Who we share your data with

Information may be shared with relevant departments within the council.

We may pass your personal data onto third parties who provide a shared service and will inform you of this when you fill in the service request form. These providers are obliged to keep your details securely, and use them only to fulfil your request.

We will only pass your sensitive personal data onto a third party when we have your consent, unless we are legally required to do so.

We will not disclose any personal information to any other third parties unless required to do so by law or where it is appropriate to support our duty to protect public funds and/or detect and prevent fraud or other criminal activity.

We will not share your information with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.

How do I delete my account?

You have the option of withdrawing your consent and deleting your account at any time. Please contact us by emailing info@teignbridge.gov.uk using the email address you registered with to request your account to be deleted.
