3. If your Freedom of Information request is turned down
Some information isn't available to members of the public. This may be because it falls within one of the exemptions contained in the Act, or it simply isn’t held by the Council. If this applies, we will tell you why we can't give you some or all of the information you requested.
We might ask you to be more specific so that we can provide just the information you need.
We can also refuse your Freedom of Information request if it will cost more than £450 to find and extract the information.
Reviews and complaints
If you are unhappy with the way we have dealt with your request, you may ask us to review our decision. After that, if you're still not satisfied with the outcome, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
