1. Strategic Leadership Team
SLT consists of the Managing Director with four strategic heads of service. They are: the Head of Corporate Services/Section 151 Officer, Head of Place & Commercial Services, Head of Operations and Head of Community Services and Improvement.
They are responsible for the managerial leadership and direction of Teignbridge and work in partnership with elected councillors to action policy direction and decisions made by the Executive and Full Council and deliver outcomes set out in the Council Strategy.
They are supported by the wider Corporate Management Team (CMT) which comprises the Business Manager (Development Control), Devon Building Control Partnership Manager, Audit & Information Manager, HR and Organisational Development Manager, Communications Manager, Solicitor to the Council / Monitoring Officer, Leisure Manager, Waste Manager, Revenue and Benefits Manager, Environmental Protection Manager, Food, Health and Safety Manager and the Democratic Services Team Leader / Deputy Monitoring Officer.
CMT report into their respective heads of service or the Managing Director and are the operational managers of their services. Their focus is on cost, quality, productivity and value for money for all our customers and providing efficient and effective services that maintain our high customer satisfaction levels. This ensures we are fit for the future and continue to meet the challenges of reducing resources, increasing customer demands and expectations, working with other organisations and keeps providing the best service and services possible.
This team leads the work of all Teignbridge staff as they deliver vital local services; co-ordinate with public sector partners, private and voluntary sectors; and represent the interests of the district.
