How to complain about a Member of the Council

2. Step one – receipt of your complaint

When we receive a complaint or allegation, we will carry out checks to ensure that your complaint is valid and that it meets our published complaints criteria. 

If it does, the Monitoring Officer will then undertake further checks to ensure the initial complaint and any evidence submitted suggests that the Members Code of Conduct applies and may have been breached. 

Your complaint will be acknowledged within five working days.
