6. Postal voting
If you are registered to vote and cannot vote at your polling station, you can apply for a postal vote.
You can apply for a postal vote up to 11 working days before an election.
Postal ballot packs will be sent to electors in advance of an election (usually 8 working days before polling day). Upon the return of the completed postal vote pack before 10pm on polling day, the ballot paper will be included with those cast at polling stations. Please bear the 8 working days in mind, especially if you live overseas and want your ballot papers sent to you. You may want to appoint a proxy instead.
Remember - if you have a postal vote you won't be able to vote at the polling station, even if you do not use your postal vote.
Cancelling your postal vote

You can return completed applications by email by sending a PDF copy of the form to absentvoting@teignbridge.gov.uk or by posting it to The Electoral Registration Officer, Forde House, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX.
