5. Postal voting
You can no longer apply for postal vote or postal proxy, cancel a postal vote or change your postal vote for the 2019 General Election.
If you are registered to vote and cannot vote at your polling station, you can apply for a postal vote.
- Postal vote application (deadline to apply for a postal vote for the 2019 General Election has passed)
You can apply for a postal vote up to 11 working days before an election.
Postal ballot packs will be sent to electors in advance of an election (usually 8 working days before polling day) and, upon the return of the completed ballot paper, the vote will be included with those cast at polling stations. Please bear the 8 working days in mind, especially if you live overseas and want your ballot papers sent to you. You may want to appoint a proxy instead.
Remember - if you have a postal vote you won't be able to vote at the polling station, even if you do not use your postal vote.
If you wish to cancel your postal vote, please complete and return the form below.
