Standing as a candidate at this election

If you wish to stand as a candidate at this election you will need to complete a nomination paper, home address form and consent to nomination. You can obtain a full nomination pack by emailing electoralservices@teignbridge.gov.uk or by calling 01626 215104. We need to know your name and either the postal address or email address you wish the pack to be sent to.

Your completed papers must be hand delivered to the Returning Officer at Forde House, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX by 4pm on Friday 29 September. You can deliver your completed papers on any working day (Mon to Fri) between the hours of 10am and 4pm, from Friday 22 September. You can make an appointment to do this by emailing electoralservices@teignbridge.gov.uk or by calling 01626 215104. Although your completed papers must be hand delivered they do not necessarily have to be delivered by you. If you wish, they can be delivered on your behalf by someone you trust.  Whoever delivers your papers should be able to wait for a few minutes while they are checked by a member of the elections team, just to make sure there are no mistakes or oversights.
