37 hours per week. 2 year fixed term contract
Starting salary: £17,364 per annum. (This is a career grade post with a current upper salary of £21,589 per annum depending on qualifications, experience and service requirements)
For this role:
You will be based at our offices in Forde House to cover normal opening hours (Monday to Friday). Visits to other local Council sites may be needed occasionally for meetings and training. Training opportunities will be provided which may mean occasional attendance at other locations.
What you'll be doing:
- you will be part of a team representing the front face of Teignbridge, dealing with all routine enquiries across all access channels. This will include telephone, face to face, email, written correspondence and social media.
- you will help customers to access our online services, providing information on access points across the district plus one-to-one support in our self-help area and over the telephone.
- you will attempt to resolve all queries at first point of contact, retaining ownership of the query through to completion. If the query becomes complex and requires specialist intervention then the call/visit will be handed off to the Service area concerned.
- at all times your focus will be to ensure our customers are given the best service possible.
