For this role:

You will be based at Teignmouth Lido. The Lido will be opening on the 24 May 2019 but training will be given from 20 May. The last day of opening will be 1 September 2019.

What you'll be doing:

Currently we have an exciting opportunity for someone to work at Teignmouth Lido for the season as a lifeguard.

Ensure the effective supervision of the swimming pool and surrounding area.

Monitor all areas utilised by the general public in accordance with procedures laid down by the Lido Supervisor.

Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all customers and to report any health and safety matter immediately to the Pool Supervisor and any remedial action taken.

Operate the cash register and undertake cash handling duties in accordance with the Council’s Financial Code of Practice.

Undertake any other duties consistent with the nature of the post when requested by the Pool Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor.

Who we're looking for:

To be successful you’ll need to be an effective team player with excellent customer care skills. Experience of dealing with the public is essential for this role.

Working hours:

We have a variety of shifts (daytime and evening) on a range of different days (Monday to Sunday) available. Please indicate on your application form your preference for a particular working pattern.

National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
