This is a permanent post working 37 hours per week.

For this role:

You will be loading domestic waste into one of our vehicles in the Teignbridge Area.

What you'll be doing:

You will play a key role in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the Teignbridge District area. You’ll be collecting waste safely around the required collection route, acting as part of a team.

You’ll ensure that all recycling boxes and bins on your round are emptied and load the materials onto the vehicle whilst responding politely to approaches from members of the public. You’ll also be required to report any accidents or incidents to your team leader.

Who we're looking for:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • experience of outdoor manual work with the fitness to walk long distances daily
  • good customer care skills
  • flexible availability including occasional weekend work
  • able to work well as part of a team
