1. Setting up or changing a Direct Debit to pay your Council Tax
Setting up a direct debit is a simple and quick way to pay your Council Tax. It spreads the cost out monthly, helps with household budgeting and avoids you falling behind.
If you already have one set up it doesn’t take long to update your bank account details or change your instalment date.
Before you start
We collect direct debits on the 1st and the 15th of each month, you decide what date works for you.

Have your bank details and Council Tax Account reference number ready.
When entering your sort code on the form you must separate the pairs of digits with a dash symbol ie XX-XX-XX
You will receive a revised council tax bill showing your new payment instalments by direct debit.
