1. About the Making Changes Study
The Making Changes Study aims to help people make changes to their lifestyle to save money, improve their health and fitness, and help them play their part in reducing the district’s carbon footprint.
Over 60 people have volunteered to be part of the study and over the next six months will attend a series of online interactive workshops which focus on three key areas – Transport, Energy, Home & Food. They will identify personal goals which they can achieve over a number of months and assess the impact on their lives and their carbon footprint.
The project forms part of the wider our Carbon Action Plan, which is being delivered in two phases. Phase one of the plan focussed on reducing our own carbon footprint, and work has already taken place to improve council buildings and leisure centres. Phase two involves engaging communities to encourage residents and businesses to support them to take action to reduce the district’s carbon footprint
