Who is this qualification for?

The CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) Foundation Certificate in Food Safety is suitable for food handlers working in catering.

The course provides essential knowledge and understanding of good food hygiene practice for anyone who prepares open, high risk foods.

Course information

Duration: 1 day course

Venue: the council offices at Forde House, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX

Schedule: 9.30am to 5pm (lunch is not provided)

Cost: £48

Exam: multiple choice

Examination

The course ends with a short multiple choice exam. A verbal exam is available - please advise at the time of booking.

You will receive an e-certificate when you pass the exam.

All our courses are delivered in English unless stated otherwise. You must have a good understanding of written and spoken English to attend this course.

How to book

Complete the online booking form and pay the relevant fee.

The booking form and payment must be received by a minimum of 5 days in advance of the course date. Bookings are not confirmed until full payment is received.

You will receive confirmation by email the week prior to the course date.

We will only contact you sooner if the course is not going ahead, or if there is a query with your booking.

 

We can send you a form to complete. Please email your details to foodhygienetraining@teignbridge.gov.uk 

Payment can then be made by debit or credit card over the phone.
