Preventing or controlling ill health from animal contact at visitor attractions

All animals carry a range of micro-organisms which can be transmitted to humans causing illness. Young children and the elderly are at the greatest risk.

The Industry Code of Practice and further guidance is available from the Health and Safety Executive which is aimed at operators of visitor attractions to help keep visitors safe.
