Filming in Teignbridge
Located in South Devon, the area of Teignbridge covers the finest Devon scenery, from rugged moorland to stunning red cliff coastline which will make the perfect backdrop for your filming project.
The area of Devon has inspired so many famous names. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote the Hound of the Baskervilles whilst staying on Dartmoor. Jane Austen's holiday to Devon influenced her first novel, Sense and Sensibility, to which Dawlish and Exeter are mentioned. Agatha Christie was born in nearby Torquay and her former holiday home is on the River Dart.
Our film friendly locations have been featured in photo shoots, short films, music videos, TV shows as well as Hollywood films. In 2015, The Mercy was filmed in Teignmouth, starring Rachel Weisz and Colin Firth as the doomed yachtsman Donald Crowhurst. The film War Horse, directed by Stephen Speilberg, was filmed on Dartmoor.
