A young person owed leaving care duties under section 23C of the Children Act 1989 will have a local connection to the area of the children services authority that owes them those duties.

Therefore if your children services authority was Devon County Council it is your decision which of the eight local authority districts that make up 'New Devon' that you can approach for assistance. These are:-

• North Devon District Council
• South Hams District Council
• Teignbridge District Council
• Torridge District Council
• West Devon Borough Council
