How to cut your energy bills

You can use the council’s energy switching website to compare and find the cheapest energy prices, helping you switch to a better energy deal and to save money. Find more information and to switch to a cheaper energy supplier.

Teignbridge District Council works in partnership with AgilityEco, and eligible residents can contact the Local Energy Advice Partnership (LEAP) to request a free home energy advice visit. A home energy advisor can:

  • install free simple energy saving measures such as LED light bulbs and draught-proofing
  • check if you’re on the best energy tariff
  • help you find funding for further energy-saving home improvements.

The eligibility requirements of LEAP are designed to target households that either are already in, or are at risk of falling into fuel poverty. It is open to all types of householders – homeowners, private renters and social housing tenants.

You can apply now, for you or somebody else by visiting LEAP - The energy and money saving service or phoning (FREE) 0800 060 7567.
