Sanctuary scheme

The Sanctuary Scheme is offered in partnership with Devon and Cornwall Police. It is designed to help victims of domestic violence and abuse stay in their homes and feel safe rather than being forced to relocate to other areas away from family networks, employment and schooling.

The scheme offers additional security measures such as a safe room within the home. This will be a secure, reinforced fast locking door, a door viewer, an additional mobile phone to be kept in the safe room and in some instances an additional alarm system.

Other security improvements may also be considered such as window and door locks, door spy–holes, window bars/screens, panic alarms and fire safety equipment including smoke detectors, fire-proof letter box and break glass hammers.

Splitz Support Service is a registered charity delivering support services to adults and young people experiencing the trauma of domestic abuse and sexual violence. Splitz delivers services across south-west England.

If you feel you need additional security due to domestic abuse please contact Splitz or the Police if they are involved in your case.
