STAR is the Supported Temporary Accommodation and Resettlement scheme.  It has been designed to help entrenched rough sleepers with high support needs where other housing options have been unsuccessful in providing suitable accommodation.

Our aim with our STAR project is to provide stable, independent home with intensive personal support and case management to homeless people with multiple complex needs.

Multiple complex needs may include:

• entrenched rough sleepers
• mental health needs
• drug or alcohol dependency
• ex offenders
• physical health needs

Placements are usually in excess of 2 years and therefore there are limited placements available. Priority is awarded for a placement based on engagement with other services such as Outreach and Together Substance and Alcohol Misuse Service.
