We have prepared a Joint Strategy with Exeter City, Mid Devon and East Devon Councils (and in partnership with Devon County Council) to address strategic planning matters across the four local authority planning areas.

The Joint Strategy – called our Shared Coordinates - highlights the ambitious commitments of East Devon, Exeter, Mid Devon and Teignbridge to ensure that the area develops as a prosperous, resilient and innovative economy and an unbeatable place to live, work and visit.

The Strategy will be used to progress work on key strategic planning issues, such as climate change, and to focus funding and investment on infrastructure priorities including  waste water and water supply, renewable energy projects, strategic healthcare, multi modal transport, and energy grid improvements.

The Strategy was adopted by all Councils in November/December 2023.
