87.3% of those who submitted a ballot voted in favour of using the Neighbourhood Plan to help decide planning applications.

The formal decision on the Adoption/Making of the Bishopsteignton Neighbourhood Plan will be made by the Executive of the Council on 31st October 2017.
If approved, the Plan will form part of the Teignbridge District Development Plan and will used alongside the Local Plan to decide planning applications within the Bishopsteignton Parish.
It should be noted that the referendum version of the Plan included a cleric error which omitted part of Appendix A7. This error will be rectified in the Made/Adopted version of the Plan.
