4. Applying for planning permission
Information about what you need to include with your application is available on our Validation Guides web page.
You will need to submit a site location plan and these can be purchased on the government's planning portal buy a planning map.
Your application will not be valid until all the information has been received including the planning fee.
Clicking on the 'Start' button below takes you to the government's planning portal where you can complete your application form, upload supporting documents and pay fees online. Alternatively you may apply online via iapply.
All documents will go on the website for public viewing.
Your Planning Application form and all other documentation submitted will be viewable online once the application is considered valid. Private telephone numbers, private email addresses and signatures will be removed. Only planning issues should be included and any comments which the council considers to be inappropriate may be removed.
You may also need to contact Devon Building Control with regard to Building Regulations.
If you wish to submit paper planning application forms instead we will require one copy of everything, two copies if it is a joint application (eg. full and listed building). More copies will be required for a Major Application and this should be discussed as part of your pre-application advice.
