Payment system maintenance

Archived planning applications

Planning application documents are only available online for applications since 1995.  The vast majority of all earlier documents are archived, although some may already have been placed online.

As part of our fees and charges review in April 2020 a fee was introduced for retrieval of documents from the archive  With effect from 1 April 2023 this fee is now £40 per planning application.

Clicking on the start button below will take you to an online form where you can enter the reference number of the file you require and pay the £40 fee per file.  Our staff will then retrieve the documents and arrange for the documents to be available online, normally within 21 days.

A separate online request form must be submitted for each archived planning application that you wish to view.

You will need your debit or credit card details to make payment for the service.

You will need the planning reference number for the archive file you wish to view.  If you do not know the reference number you can do an address search or a map search to find any applications since 1977.  Applications prior to 1977 are not available using this search and you will need to email planning@teignbridge.gov.uk with the address of the site to ask for any reference numbers prior to this date.

 

The archived documents will be placed online for you to view.  This will normally take up to 10 working days but there may be delays due to the current covid-19 situation.
