7. After the planning decision

The decision notice will be emailed to the applicant and/or or agent and will be displayed on the website view and comment on current planning applications

The applicant has the right to appeal to the planning inspectorate following a refusal. There is no third party right of appeal.

The applicant may instead wish to seek pre-application advice before resubmitting an application for an amended scheme.

If the application is approved, there will usually be conditions that need to be discharged. There is an application form and a fee payable for each request (not per condition). The applicant can apply for planning permission online.

If the applicant wants to amend your planning permission they can apply to make very minor changes as a Non Material Minor Amendment.  Changes that are still minor in nature but may have more impact will require a Variation of Condition application to change the plans condition.  More substantial changes may require a new planning permission.  Applications can be made online from our applying for planning permission page.

Applicants should contact Devon Building Control to discuss whether building regulations is required.

If the development is liable for Community Infrastructure Levy the applicant will receive a liability notice shortly after the decision is issued.
