7. Milber and Ben Stedhams Wood

These adjacent plantations of beech, pine and oak are on the eastern fringe of Newton Abbot, running alongside St Marychurch Road. The main entrance to both sites is at the top of Aller Brake Road. The extensive footpaths provide a good opportunity to enjoy the varied woodland plants, fungi and bird life that thrive on the edge of town. Both sites were once part of the extensive Haccombe House estate.
