4. Bakers Park, Newton Abbot

Bakers Park is a large open space on the outskirts of Newton Abbot and is a great place for an array of recreational activities. There's plenty of room for ball games, excluding golf, and four free tennis courts where you can just turn up and play. There is a table tennis table and the park sports a new pavilion with public toilets (payment required) and a refreshment kiosk.

Accessibility

The majority of the Bakers Park is flat; however, the area running alongside the Totnes Road is steeply banked with access only via steps or the main entrance road. If using the latter be aware that fast moving traffic may pull in from Totnes Road.
