3. Courtenay Park, Newton Abbot
Courtenay Park has a formal style yet provides visitors with an ideal place for getting away from the busy streets of Newton Abbot. This Green Flag Awarded park features a pond and fountain, a sensory garden and a bandstand on which concerts are played throughout the year. There is also a tree trail that links to Forde Park in Newton Abbot and an activity trail.

Accessibility
The Park is on a gently sloping site with seven, level pedestrian access points all spaced around the perimeter. The entrances are linked via hard surfaced paths.
Sensory garden
Why not visit the sensory garden and explore a variety of plants through your senses. Tactile signs have been added to each of the beds to enable the visually impaired to be able to experience the gardens. There are 5 disability parking spaces at the top end of Courtenay Park opposite El Nasher which allow easy access to the sensory garden.
