6. Eastcliff Park, Teignmouth

A diverse and historically significant local green space, Eastcliff Park is a large open space sitting on top of the cliffs above the sea and the railway line. It consists of three distinct parts, The Rowdens, a lawn area with large Rhododendrons, the Dell, a sub-tropical garden with three ponds, and Mules Park, open grassland. Accessibility

Eastcliff Park is a steeply sloping site. Handrails are in place at the southern entrance adjacent to Eastcliff car park. All paths are constructed from crushed white grit to make them distinctive from the grassed /shrub areas.

Friends of Eastcliff

The Friends of Eastcliff are a group of local residents from across Teignmouth who are working with us to plan for the future of the park and to help restore parts of it, including the Dell and the Walled Garden. A committee of seven members meets monthly and the larger group meetings are quarterly.
