General Election

Thursday 4 July 2024

You need to be registered in order to vote

If you wish to vote by post at this election you can apply for a postal vote

If you are unable to go the polling station yourself but do not wish to vote by post, you can apply to appoint a proxy instead. A proxy is someone who can go to your polling station to vote on your behalf.

Don't forget that you need to take photographic ID with you to the polling station or you will not be given a ballot paper. Find out about which forms of ID are acceptable . You can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate if you do not have suitable ID.

If you are voting in person at a polling station your poll card will tell you which polling station you have been assigned to. Poll cards are due to be sent out by 4 June.
